Join UF/IFAS Extension and Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association (FFVA) for a day focused on food safety supervisor duties, regulatory/audit requirements, the "why" behind the requirements, and adult learning.


HEALTH AND HYGIENE

Managing health and hygiene on the farm. Covering the importance of health and hygiene, glove and hand washing policies.


WATER TREATMENT

Introduction to water treatment, sanitizers, and devices. Includes a hands-on demonstration of water treatment options on the farm.


CLEANING AND SANITATION

A closer look at food contact surfaces, preventing and managing biofilms, monitoring cleaning and sanitation programs, and writing Standard Operating Procedures.


CONCURRENT THEMES

Regulatory and Audit requirements will be discussed throughout the program in addition to biosecurity, food defense, employee management, and adult learning.


REGISTRATION

The fee for the training is $75 for everyone. Cost includes training materials, lunch, refreshments, and a certificate of attendance issued by University of Florida and FFVA. Participation for the entire training is required for the certificate.
